What we collect

Analytics

There are none. No analytics service, tag manager or tracking script runs on this site, and no measurement of any kind is taken. Loading a page here contacts this site and nothing else.

Cookies and storage

In the Little Blue Workshop, names, messages and choices stay in browser memory. They are not sent to us or saved by the site. Refreshing clears them. Printing or downloading a keepsake saves only the copy you choose to keep. Sharing one gives the picture, or a link to the Workshop, only to the app you choose; nothing is uploaded to us.

Photos added in the Workshop are placed on the card inside your browser. They are never uploaded, sent or stored by this site.

No cookies are set. The Sky Map stores only its list of found treasures in this browser's local storage, so your explorer's log can be here when you return. Use “Start a new adventure” on the map to clear it. If browser storage is unavailable, the log works for this visit only. Nothing you type in Ask Little Blue or the Workshop is saved in this list.

A separate offline copy is kept so Ask Little Blue works without the internet. After one visit to Ask Little Blue, a small service worker keeps a copy of that page and the files it needs (its code, its fonts, its pictures and the answers it gives, including its answer illustrations, about 2.8 MB in all) in your browser, so it opens and answers with no connection. It keeps nothing you type, it works only on that page, and clearing this site’s data in your browser removes it.

Personal information

There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no newsletter and no comments on this site. There are two places you can type, and what you type stays in your browser in both. At Ask Little Blue, it is only used to find questions on Little Blue’s list: it is never sent anywhere, never stored, and it is gone when you leave the page. In the Little Blue Workshop, a name, a short message or a date is drawn straight onto the keepsake you are making, and it goes the same way when you leave. Neither is sent to us, and nothing you print or save passes through this site. So no personal information is collected, stored, processed or shared, including from children.

Reading aloud

Ask Little Blue can read its answers aloud. It only ever uses a voice that is already on your device and works without the internet, so the words are never sent to a speech service to be spoken; on a device without such a voice, the button does not appear. It is off each time the page opens, and whether you used it is not kept.

Links that leave this site

The music is hosted elsewhere. Following a link to Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Amazon Music, TIDAL or DistroKid takes you to a company we do not control, and once you are there their privacy policy applies, not ours. Those services do collect data and may set cookies. We receive nothing back from them: no report of who followed a link, and no way to identify you.

The players and the videos work the same way. Until you press one it is a picture and a button, and nothing is fetched from anyone else. Pressing it loads Spotify’s or YouTube’s own player into the page, and from then on it is theirs, as a link would be.

The Share button hands the page’s address to your device’s own share sheet where there is one; elsewhere it shows links that open WhatsApp, Facebook, X or your email app. Those links, and the studio credit’s link to WPAgency Studio, work for the same reason and on the same terms.

Hosting

The Little Blue Pilot is a static site: a set of files with no server, no database and no code running behind it. Like any web host, ours handles the network request that delivers those files to you. We do not keep, receive or look at server logs.
